The Latest Changes in Home Care for Seniors

Published on: Apr 03 2015

These changes aren’t coming from the government or insurers but from the technology geeks. A group of them believes that some innovations in other industries will improve things and lower costs in home care, according to this piece. They say their goal is to keep their parents in their homes for as long as possible. It’s all new, but take a look and see what might be coming to a neighborhood near you.

At first glance, recruiting someone who can change bedpans and a blue-shirted Genius Bar tech whiz may seem like entirely different propositions. But Johnson says they share much in common. “You have to create jobs that provide meaning for the employees that work for your company,” he says. “It’s way beyond compensation or schedule. It’s how you set a mission for employees, how they will improve the lives of the people they serve. I have had a lot of experience with that.”
